With snow-capped mountains on one side and a sandy beach on the other, Kaikoura, New Zealand, is a real meeting-place of diverse landscapes.

And this isn't just above the waves either -- the tiny peninsula sits at the edge of a continental shelf where currents meet and bring rich nutrients up from the ocean floor.

That's why so many dolphins, seals, whales, and sea birds congregate here. Along with fans of sea creatures, wine, and tasty seafood.

Our latest video episod visits Kaikoura (by way of California's Half Moon Bay, another great spot for ocean life). Dive in!

The iTunes button will open iTunes and you can subscribe there (you don't need an iPod to listen to the podcasts, but the program makes it awfully easy). If you prefer your own RSS reader, use the orange RSS button. Each podcast is also archived on our podcast page, so you can see past episodes.

After you subscribe, iTunes or your RSS reader will automatically update every week with our new episode. You won't miss anything! And unlike most travel, no passports or tedious security lines are involved.
